Default does anyone else have problems with blowing hoses??

I just got my aps dr500 fmic installed along with my sr50 and at 20lbs of boost it always wants to blow off the silicon hose on the intercoolers hot side. it does it to me alot and i was wondering if their is a quick fix or if have a defective piece of tubing because it seems kind of short, since their is hardley any hose to clamp down after the flange on the piping.

any suggestions would be appreciated

thanks

glenn

You gotta have a bead welded around that hot side of the ic, or I've heard of applying hair spray on the piping to hold the silicone hose.

T bolt clamps should do the trick.

i have t bolt clamps on every other line but their isnt enough rubber after the flange to get the full use out of a t bolt clamp so one cannot be used. Also their is a flange on the hot side of the intercooler.

i have the same exact setup...and yes, once i upped the boost to 20psi, hoses started popping off. from day 1 i had t-clamps...but those kept blowing off, so i used the regular screw-type clamps on the hoses that popped off (same one you mention, as well as the compressor hose -> silicone pipe). havent blown off since.
