Impreza WRX STi ATTN: Greddy Blow Off Valve owners...HELP!

I need to know if there is a lot of clearance between the top of the BOV and the hood when it closes....I am going to be getting a Greddy Type R BOV and mounting it in the stock location, and hte Type R is quite a bit taller than the Type S....so i wnat to make sure i wont have any clearance problems! Also if anyone wants to sell me their Greddy Type S BOV WRX kit, please get in touch with me! As you cna see the Type R (left) is much taller than the Type S (right)....any insight is GREATLY appreciated!

G'Day Adam,
In my very humble opinion, Have you looked at the HKS Dual Stage Unit?? Much smaller, much larger 'Vent-Valve', and much more progressive operation. Just my opinion though....

Cheers,

I have had mine turned up to 27Psi for Dyno with no leakage, do you know what the HKS Dual Stage Unit is rated to?

Answer please?

Adam... why do you want the Type R? If you're installing it, it must mean you're running more than 30lbs of boost. It also means that you're probably running a FMIC to handle it. That means that you can mount the valve at any angle you want by welding it into place. Chances are you already have custom work in your car with that kind of power... welding a valve in place should be a walk in the park.

So you shouldn't have a problem at all.

Dude, right now I am running an HKS TYpe II Racing BOV...it is HKS's top of the line HKS BOV that is rated for 700+ HP, and it's on my stock STi with intake and turboback and no other mods....works great at 16psi....so i'm sure that the Type R will work fine...THUS i need to know if it iwll bolt into place nad clear the hood.

Didn't mean to upset you.

Do you have any clips of the HKS Racing BOV? I'm interested to hear it.

I have the Type S and there is plenty of extra room. I'm not really sure about the Type-R though. It might be a bit close.
