Default Is there a market/use for 3 used tires?

I got a flat in one of my Yokohama ES100s, and had to get rid of a tire. I opted to replace all four, and now have 3 ES100s with under 9000k in them. What the heck do I do with these? Dang, what a waste.

The good news is that I'm riding on Falken GRB FK451s.

If you can't sell 'em here, a used tire place will probably pick them up...

How much do you want for them? Can you post pictures of the tread remaining?

Thanks,
Dustin

225-50-16s -- With a tyre tread gauge ruler, I'm reading about 5-6/32s of an inch tread remaining. *shrug*

Dont forget cars that arent subarus need tires too, and replace 1 or 2 tires all the time.

Re: The Falkens

I haven't had a chance to really put the FK-451s through their paces yet, I've only had them for less than a week. One thing is clear though -- I like the sidewalls of the ES100s a lot better. No, but seriously, in my limited experience they seem at the very least on par with the ES100s, but with good deal less squealing. Braking in the dry and wet is straightforward and predictable. Cornering is pretty solid too and turn in seems fine as well. I'll be able to have a better idea once next month's autocross rolls around. Oh yeah, and I've driven through torrential downpour on the highway -- the 451s are about as solid as the ES100s in terms of hydroplane resistance -- crusing along at like 60-70ish on HWY59, the car didn't skip a beat.

Ah yes, and just to toss out the info for those interested in some used tires:

I had a nasty flat recently, and as a result of the AWD nature of my car, ended up just replacing all of them. So, I have 3 used Yokohama ES100s.

- Tire: Yokohama AVS ES100s
- Size: 225/50-16 (Will fit on any 16" rim with a width of 6-8", I ran them on a 16x6.5" rim)
- Miles: Just shy of 9000 miles, rotated every 3000 miles (I got the flat just shy of its next rotation, tires are marked where on the car they came from) The tires have been on the car roughly half a year.
- Tread Depth: Using a tire tread ruler, there is 6-5/32nds of a inch remaining on all three tires, and the wear is pretty even. Brand new, the tires come with 10/32nds of an inch of tread.
- Usage and other notes: The tires have been autocrossed several times, but mostly see some city and highway duty. Tires haven't been curb checked. One of the tires had a small nail in the center of the tread pattern, but was dismounted from the rim and fixed at Discount Tire, the repair is on the inside of the tire, and not a cheap plug.

I can get pictures if there is interest. Happy shopping.
PM me for questions.
