Default Who's ready for the ski/board season?

Yeah, it's August still. But my sticks have not touched the white stuff since May and I am JONESING. I think I am going to wax my rock skis tomorrow. November can't come soon enough. I was up at my favorite ski resort last weekend and I took the tram to the top to look for lines to take down.

I've got it bad.

Totally ready! Utah in March was the last for me and it changed my life...and it also broke my skis...so I need to buy a new pair before hitting the slopes

(Salomon Scream Extra Hot's)
Where is the Dark Side of the Moon?

Peace,
Oquipah

Study the works of Roger Waters.

I picked up some K2 Axis X (the hard to damage version) towards the end of last season and they were pure magic. I can't wait to get some mid season Sierra powder under them.

Yes, but there is no Dark Side of the moon really, as a matter of fact it's all dark.

No my young Jedi, you must study the works of Roger Waters and listen to the end of the album and you would realize.

I demo-ed a pair of the K2 Axis X's in Utah, nice ski and in my top two choices.

I realize that, but it's the theory, not the execution.

<-Has been to 3 Floyd concerts.

I also liked the high end Salomon Pilots (10's I believe)...but they were a bit stiff for my 32 year old knees.

Bummer, dude. How did you break stuff?

I stay a little more level these days as I don't recover so well anymore. That and my knees resemble ground beef.

No, but it's on the list for the next 2 years, along with Jackson Hole and Big Sky. I've done all the California and most of the big Colorado resorts. Plus some Utah and most of the big Eastern resorts (I'm from Boston but I live in L.A.) I learned to ski at Killington and Mt. Snow.

Im definately ready, been working out and stuff. I havent rode in 1.5 seasons do to injuries. A few of the high peaks here in ColoRADo got snow the other night. I might go ride the glacier in a few weeks, probally on my birthday.

Whistler is definately fun as is Jackson Hole. I dropped Corbets couloir there when I was 14. The picture is not me but it gives you an idea.

FTW

Whistler/Blackcomb is my choice for this year's trip, although we were spoiled rotten at Snowbird and Alta so a return trip is hard to pass up. I heard Whistler is wicked cold in comparison...true?

Ah, the frozen parking lot. Good times! Especially when I forget to put my cat tracks on my boots. Thankfully, I have the use of a locker at Mammoth so I just take the bus to the lodge now and don't worry about such mundane things as parking lot injuries.
