Default When is Subaru going to authorize crash bolts?

Or have I missed that already?

I am camber challanged in D Stock and wonder when Subaru will get around to authorizing the use of factory "crash" bolts.

Has anyone heard if this has happend yet or will ever happen?

thanks
Patrick

Never

Subaru thinks that you should replace parts rather then using crash bolts to get back to factory alignment settings.

then do camber plates but if you really want, go to any alignment shop and they can install some eccentrics for you.

Most subarus come with camber bolts stock, but they only allow up to -1.5 front camber. We want bolts that give us -3 camber

I thinks its pretty obvious, that SOA and everyone else for that matter are not going to allow for -3 degrees of camber adjustment on any road car....if for no other reason than just warranty claims alone: on such items as RE92's, front wheel bearings, manufacturers liability issues, blah repeat repeat.
I'm talking in general here of course...leaving cars like the Porsche GT3RS, 360 Challenge Stradale and others out.

If you give the customer the option to adjust something to the max, you have to presume that they will and then you have to warranty it.

I can confidently say: NEVER

Those bolts can give you close to what you want (-3); only you need to use more of them. Replace the non-adj. bottom ones (other way arround) as well as the upper adjustables ones!

Only problem is that isn't DS legal. Any reasonably aware competitor would see the added camber and immediately call you on it.

A FSM allowance to replace that lower bolt with a camber bolt would rule... but as has already been said, don't think it's gonna happen. Already tried griping to people at Subaru who might have a chance of making that a reality.
