Cool

Hey Kissifur,

I'm down here, I work at UC. The amount of Impreza's in the area increased dramatically once school started this year. Before that it was slim pickins'. What brings you down this way?

SC Subaru has an intelligent service department. That means if you have a reasonable request, they will certainly try to work with you.

Yeah, that's about right.

I'll join the chorus in saying that Santa Cruz Subaru rocks. I went there last Saturday to thank them for sponsoring the track event and they are well aware of their street cred and intend to keep it that way.

The key word here as Angus said is "reasonable" though. Don't go asking for stuff that might get them in trouble with SOA -- if you broke it due to no fault of the manufacturer, then don't expect them to fix it free. When we talk about "mod-friendly" we mean they're not so stupid as to say, for instance "Your radio warranty is invalid because you have an intake." As it seems Stevens Creek is inclined to do.

Also while mods are nice, nobody likes (too much) of a show-off. Be courteous and no donuts on Soquel Ave.

Yea was wondering on the mod thing. Are SC subaru willing to install mods for impreza's or we have to go to an independent auto shop?

Amen to SC Subaru, on more than one occasion they've come thru in a big way for me. Buying your car there earns extra points in the service/parts dept too...

Yes they are generally mod friendly again within reason, though they had a bit of a twinkle in the eyes after seeing Angus' RS.

SC meet sounds like a great idea. I've been looking for someone to show me around that place a bit.
