Question Which dealer is better for warranty/repairs: Countryside or Naperville?

I am moving from the city to the western 'burbs. Both Countryside and Naperville are close and I've heard good things about these dealers from people on this forum. Any info about either dealership's service department and how they handle their customers would be appreciated.

And on that note, stay away from Mid-City Subaru if you're in the city. Seek out another dealer for your repairs or purchases. Their service department sucks!

Thanks,
Bad Mange

I wouldn't go to Scamburg Subaru (err..Schaumburg)

I've had good luck with Libertyville and possibly Evanston (we'll see when my car comes back tomorrow)

Geralds Subaru in Naperthrill. See if you can get John to work on your car, he's a good guy and a good tech.

Libertyville is far, and I won't be going within 10 feet of the Schaumburg dealership. Since I'm in the burbs, Evanston is a haul for me so I won't be going there. What about Dan Wolf?

I have a '98 RS that has both clutch shudder and soft/sticking clutch pedal, not to mention a strange starter problem and a rattling heat shield. Even though the TSB on shudder states that only '99+ are covered, I have a '99 clutch/flywheel in my car (replaced under warranty due to sticking clutch pedal a few years ago). I have an extended warranty until 75K and I'm barely at 65K.

So I guess my point is, is Dan Wolf or Geralds good with honoring TSBs? If I decide to go with Geralds, does John have a last name? I bet there are more than one tech there named John.

Thanks for the replies, guys!

I don't know about geralds policy as far as warranty work. I don't know John's last name, if you go down the service stairs and out into the garage his is the bay immediately to the left of the one in front of you.
