('93-'01) One Month From Now (USA Meet??)

Perhaps I missed it but, whats the deal? I searched for threads on this and about the only one I found was one from about two months ago. And none of the people that are supposedly organizing this thing even posted, except Pat with rally-x info. I noticed people talking about Subie-trains from Texas and Chicago, and I know that people from St. Louie, Omaha, and Iowa would probably do the same. A couple people were even talking about flying in. The date is comming up pretty soon so I was just wondering where we are at?!?

If anyone is planning on flying, I live 10 min., and work 5 min., from KCI, so I could probably taxi people if needed.

Ben, I think Pat was the only one who actually did anything. Dane or whoever it was who started the thing has posted nothing about it. I don't think it's gonna happen. At least not on the scale originally imagined.

On another note--where the hell do you work?? I live about 8-10 minutes from KCI and work at KCI too...

In the other thread our Imprezident mentioned something about organizing an official "i-club national meet", which is definatly cool. Maybe that turned off the organizers of this thing, I dont know? But Im still all for having this thing happen. People have taken vacation for this, and Pat has put a lot of effort into geting a rally-x organized. It would be a shame to just let this whole idea just fade away.

Pat; if you can get me the street address's of the rally and auto-X locations I will put together a list of hotels/motels for people as well as resteraunts, and other entertainment spots for non-scooby time.

What is the date of this thing agin?

That WOULDD BE GREAAAAATT!!!!!!!!!!
The SCCA Auto-x on Sunday will be in front of the GM FairFax Plant. It's across the river going west from the down town airport. The Rally-x will be just north of Fort Scott.
I will be down at Fort Scott this Sunday to check out and setup as much as we can for the guys so he knows where to grade the track. So as far as I am concerd. The event is still a go. I just want to know if anyone talk to SOA cause I was talking to Scott Minton the District Fixed Operations Manager for any help that we may need and if they want to setup something for the event.

Call me at 816-916-7925 on my cell or 816-847-0285 at home if you need anymore info.

People, realize what I said above is just my opinion. Hell I don't know maybe everyone will show up and it will be fabulous. It just seems to me that nothing is planned except MAYBE a rallycross. I would just be damn sure it was organized before I drove very far for it. But who do you contact?? Dane?? Pat here in KC (KC_TopDog) is a great guy and I'm sure he's done all he can to get stuff ready for the rally-x, but I think that's all he was working on?? I would just hate to see a bunch of people show up and then have nothing to do.

I'd like to see it happen, but I'm not holding my breath...
