Default Protoge wagon vs WRX wagon vs Lexus Wagon

So If all were all wheel drive and about 225hp and and the same price? Would you have still bought the WRX wagon? I really liked the look of the Lexus Sportback wagon. But at $32k that was way to much. The Protoge was nice but didnt have the power. But if they were all about the same in price and power. Wich one would you have bought. Laters Mikal

The Protege5 without a doubt. Sexiest wagon evAr, too bad it only has like 6 HP.

Definitely the Protege5

I looked at the Protege5 and liked everything about it but the power. The guys on the Protege forums seemed pretty cool too.

you mean the is300 sportcross wagon? i like the way it looks.. unfortunately i think it's slow, too expensive, and it doesn't come in manual.. that's why i've got a WRX wagon

Those are some pretty big "ifs". But hypothetically, if it was available with a MT, the Lexus without a second's hesitation. Better build quality, reliability and service.

if they're all exactly identical in comfort, price, performance, features, I'd probably pick a Lexus over the other 2 brands because of build quality and reliability... but I think it's quite ugly. I think the Protege looks the best among all 3... but I wouldn't buy a Mazda for the lack of aftermarket parts. ^_^

Well at the end I think I'll still pick the WRX afterall haha...

Exactly. I picked the WRX for the value. If the WRX wagon costed as much as a Lexus IS wagon, I think I'd get the STi instead

It would have been a hard choice between the IS Wagon and the WRX wagon. The IS did not offer a stick so it was out. Plus, I can get a good deal on a WRX with money left over for mods for less money... a lot less.

Same here. Perfectly damped suspension, great controls.. just not enough response from the go pedal.

I think with all things being equal... I would only have name and styling to base my decision on. I think the Lexus is sexy and it has name recognition. Plus options like a moonroof and leather... I would probably choose the Lexus.

lexus, with the exception of the transmission. auto only. If you've ever sat in one, you'd never want to go back to an impreza. I sat in one, :'(

As soon as Subaru offers the STi in a Wagon, I am dumping my wagon. That is, IF Subaru ever offers it. I bought the wagon because of its utility and performance. I don't want to modify it for better performance. Overall, all things being equal, I would buy the Lexus Sportcross.

Unless they started making the Protoge in AWD, I'd be staying with the Scoob. Lexus is way out of my price range, so its not even an option.

I think that the protoge and the Scoob look almost identical.

Umm... If you took an IS300 and removed everything "altezza" about it, you wouldn't have a car... (toyota altezza = lexus IS300)

WRX still ownes.

Is that picture taken in front of the ol' Montgomery Ward building - now called Domain 900? Off of Chicago Ave. I believe. And yes, The Toyota Altezza is the Lexus IS 300.
