Default Kartboy vs. STi short throw shifter

I've had Kartboy as first mod since year 2001. Although it feels a bit notchy, I am pretty happy with the mod. Anyone has tried both Kartboy and STi short throw shifters? any difference in the feeling and shifting?

Thanks,
Tim

Yes. I have driven cars with both (I personally have the STi short-shifter). I think the STi shifter feels just a little bit better / smoother / more refined. Though the difference is by no means huge. Also, the Kartboy rubs on some cars (not a knock of Tom as he actually designed it that way). Of course, the STi is much more expensive.

you might want to check the center bolt for the correct spec, its not much. also relube everything. after a few years it might need a lube job too
