Default I Debadged My Rear

I've been thinking about it for a while, so I went ahead and did today: remove the Subaru and AWD. The looked too busy for me. I left the Baja emblem on, although I think it's garish but it's better than having nothing.

Is there somewhere else on the car where it says AWD in case it gets towed? If there's no sticker etc the towing company isn't liable for damage done to your drivetrain by leaving two wheels dragging.

There is in two places, but I don't think they're going to be noticeable to the average tow truck guy.

Do what Subaru wants to do and remove the names and put a star cluster oval in the center of where subaru use to be on the tail gate.I'm thinking about doing that myself.

If you delete the SUBARU off the back doesn't it leave a hole or two?

if it is like the WRX they are just stuck on with double sided foam tape stuff.

That looks pretty clean. I think it would look better if the Baja emblem was smaller, but I dont know if anyone makes a smaller emblem.

Yes, it leaves two very indentations with a tiny hole in each. I plugged the holes with some black rubber stuff. I've been thinking about putting a badge in the same place and getting rid of the Baja logo. Alternatively, I could have something made to replace the Baja logo.

It's not all that pressing. I've fryin gother fish at the moment. I broke down and ordered a Unichip, which I hope to get in a week or so. After that, I'll pick up a set of wheels and call it quits before my wife makes me sleep in the garage...

Besides the dealer? You could try a junkyard.

I took the 'subaru' and 'baja' off the back, then used the 'awd' emblem to cover the leftmost hole. I ended up buying a script 'turbo' badge in porche turbo-style writing to cover the 2nd hole.

Does anyone have a Suburu badge from their Baja tailgate they don't want anymore? I want one.

Thanks,

Perry
