Post 'Premium Sound Package'

Could anyone tell me what the 'Premium Sound Package' consists of. Are the door and rear deck speakers better than normal? I know the tweets normally aren't there. And what the hell is that thing under my driver's seat? Can it be adjusted and how is it connected to the stereo?

as far as I know, the speakers are a little higher grade, but porbably not much, and that "thing" under your seat is supposed to be a sub-woofer. thats about as much as i can tell you.

The front speakers in the 'Premium Sound Package' are coaxials. Not sure what the regular speakers are. I'm quoting someone on the board when I say "If its under the seat, throw it in the street". The stock sub-thingie is garbage. It does have a gain knob, but it still doesn't do much other than distort.

When I threw out my speakers I noticed that the front door drivers were dual cone speakers, the tweeters were plastic and the rear deck speakers were paper. AKA, junk, junk, and junk!

Thanks for the advice...but, I myself also had not much of a choice in the matter. I figured it is better than stock, and with a bigger car payment than I was used to I wasn't gonna be able to dive right in to the aftermarket stereo equipment right away and I gotta have my cd player.

900 dollars?? I'm not sure who quoted you that but my premium sound package cost around 300 bucks with sub tweeters and the upgraded speakers. I didn't have a choice, it actually came with the car and it was the only black coupe manual they had.

My factory fronts are Panasonic 6.5" coaxials, the rears are the worst, with magnets the size of a silver dollar.
