Default UP/DP combo w/ or w/o ECU mod?

For '04+ WRX, if one mod'ed with cat-less UP/DP only, and the other one mod'ed cat-less UP/DP + ECU, I'm sure there will be obvious difference at high-end power; but I'm wondering, how much difference in terms of the turbo spool up time at low RPM?
If I'm more concern on the low RPM driveability, is stock ECU good enough with UP/DP mods?

you should be ok. but to get all the benefits
from up/dp you should get some form of tuning.

guess it also depends on which up/dp.

but with no tune/chip/ecu my invidia tbe
would occassionally to strange things.
after the install of piggy-back unichip
the event did not reoccur.

disclaimer: depends on which up/dp..

Hey jaxscuby what kinda strange things did it do. I am getting a PDE DP and a Invidia Catback. did you have the TI or just the SS. I heard that the TI would hit something on the bottom because it was so light that it just moved to much, but the SS was good.
Let me know what strange things you are talking about.
Thanks
CUrt
