Default STi style hoodscoop for GC8

It's still base black but I'm just waiting to finish the sideskirt ends for my WRX skirts to get done and then I'll get it all painted at once. The Sideskirt ends fit on a wrx and allow the wrx skirts to fit on an RS too! It all took a while but it seems to be worth it. I may decide to produce the scoop later on after the whole car is done. Tell me what you think and thanks for any criticism good or bad!

I really like it!

I've been looking for something for my GC, especially once I go turbo and the IC sits there.

Kudos, man.

edit: Run any road tests? I want to know how it holds 80+ mph

I made a custom one for my GC8. I had 2 Genuine STi scoops and had to cut them in half just off center to make it about an inch wider . then plastic welded it together. the stock sti one is o narrow for gc8 that's why i had to buy 2 and make it fit together. it looks great, once i get some pics i will post them for you.

I did it from scratch, the design is taking what I thought were the most appealing cues from the STi and the RS scoop. As far as road testing i did 180 KPH with it and it's fine. there's an aluminum deflector underneath it much like the STi one. I'll take pics of all the parts when I pull the scoop back off tomorrow. Thanx for the comments!

I'll have it painted in about 2 weeks, I just bought a shop and used car lot in Napanee Ontario. Moving this weekend and should be able to have all the stuff painted and on by the middle of october. Thanx for all the praise, I'm in negotiations right now with a mould injection company to produce them. Price wise I'm figuring like maybe 2-250 canadian with the deflector plate. It's gonna cost around 12k to make them so I need to maake sure I can sell enough to cover the cost.
Here's a pic of the dealership.

What's this side skirt mod you're talking about? Let see some pics of that?

Hmmm how hard would it be to make a mold or something for a cheaper reproduction? Bet you could sell a few. I for one would be interested.
