well I have all the stuff i need to do my install.. my setup so far.
-cusco headers -perrin up pipe -invida down pipe -blitz nur spec cat back -turboxs utec -hks ssqv bov *stuff iam getting ready to install -vf22 -hyperflow fmic -walbro fuel pump -RC 650cc injectors -perrin turbo inlet hose -perrin short ram intake soo i was just wondering should i dish out $400 for fuel rails.. i have heard some people say if you tune the car right you dont need them.. and some people say cylinder #3 will be done if you dont have them.. soo iam just wondering what you guys think is should do.. thxs!

some say cylinder #3 will be done even if you have them. i don't believe there is any concrete proof that rails help with the #3 problem. I would save the money and put it towards an ej257 short block in the future

Don't get fuel rails. Quote from Phil at Element Tuning:
"Subarus in particular are known to have problems related to a lean running cylinder. Often fuel rails are recommended but they only increase overall fuel and don’t address the problem of uneven air distribution to various cylinders." |

I have 279hp and dont have fuel rails and the car runs fine.
aside from looking super cool i wonder how much they "really" help out. |
