I'll go ahead and get some rumors going.....

Folgers is going to cease this special very soon, however I hear that www.boxer4racing.com is going to have a super price on a SMALL NUMBER of these kits, using Carbotech pads.

Bobcats are the pad we started asking about. The rears are available now in any of the Carbotech pads, it's just the fronts they are working on new pads for. Dale Teague of boxer4racing.com is working with Carbotech now to possible produce some pads for this setup. If you want a Carbotech pad that they do not have for it right now, Carbotech will make you a set of pads for a fairly reasonable price for a 1 off set. Please contact Dale Teague at www.boxer4racing.com if you are intrested in these brakes.

To any mods or whoever is concerned about this being a thread-jack. I have worked with Folger Subaru and boxer4racing.com on this deal and the guys at Folger are fully aware of what is going on here.

Steven

In other words... We sold a couple huge boxes of brakes to Dale. And Steven is just trying to kiss up for some sponsorship or something

Just wondering if someone could give me detailed instructions on how to install this kit? Is it basically unbolt the caliper and caliper mounting bracket, take pads out, take rotor off, put new rotor on, install new caliper bracket and caliper, put new pads in, bleed brakes? Thanks.

For the most part, yes. You do have to bend or remove your brake dust shields for the rotors to clear. The rear caliper does require a minor notch to be made for the brake line to seat properly. It's a quite simple installation and I would be happy to act as tech support for anyone who buys a set of these brakes and has questions during the install.

Just Curious, are the rears a single piston?

The rear's use the same caliper design as the standard wrx caliper, so yes...the caliper is just a little bit wider.

This was discussed earlier in the thread.

Default Carbotech pads on the way for this set up

I emailed the folks at Carbotech and they confirmed they will be making both the Bobcat and Panther line of brake pads for this set up. Might be a month in the offing. I'm considering this set up for my WRX wagon, which I track about six times a year.

If WRX rear pads will work with the rear brackets and calipers will you sell the rear kit w/o pads?

Thanks,
Dustin

I've PMed, e-mailed, and called. So far, no response.

Has anyone actually ordered from these folks? They said on the phone that Steven doesn't work there.

Steven has left Folgers to work for someone else. You might want to contact a guy named Tim at Folgers but as said above they were going to run this special for just a short time and Boxer4Racing (http://www.boxer4racing.com) as stated above is to be getting a small quantity of these kits. I have no clue on who is running this right now, but if they are not answering to your e-mails, calls, and PM's they are obviously not.

Check with Dale at www.boxer4racing.com. He has kits in stock, and yes, for the most part Folgers is no longer running a special on these, it's just not been totally cleared up in the threads.

If all else fails, PM me and I'll sell you a set. hehe...

Start back at the beginning of the thread and read through. The answer is right here under your nose.

As was mentioned before: Call or email Dale Teague at boxer4racing.com if you would like a set. His number & email: 828-683-9218 - sales@boxer4racing.com. It is a limited special he is running, and I have no idea if he intends on adding this to his website.
