At the Track RacingBrake Rotors Updated Packages and Pricing

We've been tracking the Racing and Street Rotors from racingbrake all year. So far on the 2 setups that I personally run I haven't overheated, or even put a slight lip in these rotors!

Setup 1:
94 Legacy Turbo
WRX size front Rotors
Hawk HP+ pads
10K+ Street Miles
10 2hr track days (20 track hours) including Pocono long and beaver run, both which are very brutal on rotors
No lip formed at the edge of the rotor, excellent braking power, no fade

2nd Setup
Impreza L Automatic race car
racing rotors with slots and drilled (they don't sell drilled racing ones, but we want to see if we can crack them)
10 2hr track days including Limerock and VIR
HP+ pads
No lip formed, through the windshield with your head stopping power, no fade etc. This is an automatic so it takes a very very harsh toll on rotors because there is little or no engine braking being done with it, it's all on the rotors.

Our offering of RacingBrake rotors include Street and Race setups.

Street-drilled Rotors: include reinforcements where the hat meets the rotor for increased durability, they are EDP Black powdercoated on the hats, slots and edges. The streets are drilled and slotted.

Street Rotors: same material and design as the street rotors, except they are not drilled as drilled rotors will eventually crack under any track conditions

Race Rotors: These rotors are made from Compact Graphite Alloy that gives them a significantly stronger and harder makeup with significantly (5-10x greater) heat and warming resistence due to the organization of the cells in the material. These come in a nickle coating that resists rust and are slotted for cooling.

As for pads we suggest Hawk HP+ for street and track, for street only or a few track events we suggest the Hawk HPS pads as they are long lasting and low-dusting.

Goodridge SS Lines are a great upgrade as well as flushing your brakes fully with ATE Superblue or similar high-boiling point fluid.

We are out there on the track at least 2 weekends a month testing, racing and doing motorsports not only as our hobby but also so we can give you guys REAL feeback on what works and what doesn't work.

Here is a link to the previous thread with comments on these rotors.

2 weekends ago we were out at Pocono Raceway running the Impreza L during an HPDE and Road Race weekend. These brakes handled amazingly....

Here's the setup for those just starting to follow....

WRX size RacingBrake Race Rotors
Subaru 4-pot Calipers
Hawk Blue (Race Pads)
Goodridge SS Lines
ATE Superblue Race Fluid

Rear OEM Drum brakes
OEM Brake Booster

We did over 9 hours of driving on these brakes last weekend, of which I ran a 30 min Sprint Road Race and a 1hour Enduro!!!! The enduro alone was 60 laps of pounding over and over and over. The Rotors and Pads held up amazingly well. Even with the very very agressive spark-shooting Hawk Blue (above the HP+) pads we didn't even put a lip on the race rotors! Car performed flawlessly even braking over and over from excess of 100mph coming off the main straight into the infield.

STi Hawk HPS Pads are in stock now.

Testing 4-pot Calipers that are almost 50% lighter than OE 4-pot Subaru Calipers, and you can keep your WRX wheels on em

I got these back a while ago, the street version, should have got the track version. Although I dont track, I get MEGA shimmy (warp? I dont know, maybe) at hard breaking. Took me only a month to acheive this. If you drive like I do save some money and get the track version, otherwise you'll be back for more.
Love the look of these and its better than stock...

Hmm shoot me an e-mail on these. I'd be very suprised if they are warped. I'd like to get more info from you to relay back to RacingBrake.

OT a little bit, but will you be RACING this car with EMRA? If so, what kind of front brakes will you be using? Do you or do you plan to have any pads available for the single pot L front brakes?

Yes I plan on racing this car with EMRA (was going to do the 4-hr Enduro on Nov 20 at Summit but my co-driver couldn't find a comp school in time). I will check if Hawk haps pads available for the single Pot L calipers but I don't think they do. That's why I went with the 4-pot system since pads are Cheaper and More Readily available for them than even the WRX Calipers.

My street car has wrx rotors, but at LRP they always seem like they are more than enough for the speeds I am going. Not only that, but I am trying to make the car exactly to the rules which I believe only allows pads, fluid, and lines. If you could look into some "L" pads that would be way cool.

Yeah I'm just jumping up 1 class due to some mods. You should jump up too I want some competition I'll look into the pads for yah. We are also trying to get an AWD race series going so hopefully you can get in on that with us and help us build it up.

Aside from brakes and wheels, what else do you have that moves your car into the higher class? What are you using for suspension (spring rates, etc.)? I just realized why your car seems so familiar to me. About a year or so ago I went out to western CT to check it out back when the previous owner had it. Small world.

Haaa small world.

I have GAB Coilovers in it, Borla Headers, the usual suspension bits (sway bars, end links, sway bar mounts, strut tower bars) catless exhaust.

Thats about it as far as I can remember.

We are actually building the legacy to run in EMRA next year. Looking like class either ST2 or ST1 for it.

Just wanted to update you guys on the RB products etc.

We just replaced the Legacy front racing rotors this past weekend...

We've totalled closed to 25k miles on them on the street.
This includes at least 25-30 Open track days with 1.5-2.5hrs of track time on them each day. We just completed 5 track days in a row (1 at Pocono, 2 at Summit Point, and 2 at Watkins Glen) on these rotors.

You can order any of our RB packages on our webpage at http://AZPInstalls.com under the brake section. Feel free to IM/E-mail/PM with questions regarding the products.
