Question Baja Turbo insurance prices compared to WRX sedan?

I'm slightly tempted to trade up to a baja turbo from my WRX sedan, but I was wondering if insurance would be any cheaper, or a lot cheaper for that matter?

I don't know if it would be any cheeper, but I would bet it would be. Easiest thing would probally be to call your insurance agent and get a quote for a baja and compair to your current pollicy. Here in California, I am paying about 600 for 6 months of full coverage through allstate.

I was wrong, but that is either both cars (04 turbo baja and 98 Forester L). I am paying about 1200/year for both cars.

gentzleon, you in Salians,CA? If so, you should come out to the Scotts Valley meet on Wednesdays. We normally meet for dinner around 7:30 to 8:30 at one of the places nearby to dennies and wendies. There is also a formal meet at the dennies parking lot at 9:00-9:30, then most go for a drive. See the following link:
http://www.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69520. I won't be ther this week because I will be out of town.

I just called my insurance company. A 2005 Baja Turbo manual would be about 30% cheaper than my 2003 WRX sedan.

YOU GO. GET THAT BAJA. They are soooooooooo mutch fun. My personal opinion is that the baja is a lot more fun that the WRX's are.

I don't think there's been that many Baja's stolen like the WRX.Insurance should be alot cheaper.

$600 for 6mos?
Dern, I am getting a deal through State Farm. I am paying $414 for 6mos full coverage. Of course I live in TN, but the city I live in is known for "uninsured" motorists. The 30% decrease in premium is probably due to (I hate to say this)....it being considered a truck. Uh, I've said it.
The low theft rate is most likely due to the inability to figure out what the vehicle is. In fact, my insurance agent didn't know what it was. I had to bring it by and show it to him. Then he said "what the hell is that?" LOL
I think you will love your Baja. Just how much wood and mulch can your WRX hold?? Okay, but can you spray the trunk out with a hose???

gstien, you missed my one of my other posts. I forgot that this covers our ohter 98 Forester as well. My Baja by itself is about 400 something, Just about the same as you. I have full coverage as well.
