Default help with 2.2T/2.35L stroker setup..

piecing together all my goodies and wondering what i still need/ what will work...


will the sti(v8) tranny bolt up to a 2.2 shortblock? what driveshaft to connect it rear WRX differential?

do i use 2.2 head gaskets with my WRX heads? i want metal... what size?

will sti cams work to 9500 rpm?

what turbo will support 550 hp to the wheels?

what compression pistons do i need for the 2.2 with wrx heads to get 8:0 to 1 compression???

if its at 7.4:1 with the heads on it, what is it in standard form?

where do i order CP pistons for the 2.2T from without waiting forever?

what spark plugs and at what gap for this setup?

what sti version crank do i want if i want the 2.35L stroker...? anything else special needed for the 2.35 or just 2.2T pistons and rods with 2.5 crank??

any help will be much appreciated... i am looking to start ordering parts within the next month...

It will bolt up, but it (the block) may not have as many mounting holes as the tranny does. I just did this swap and my USDM 5MT isn't utilizing one mounting hole iirc. I believe you will need a older AT Legacy (?) driveshaft for the 6MT to mate with the WRX rear diff (why use the WRX rear diff, though?).

I went with Cometic metal examples, and I believe they're for the 2.2

JDM ver. 5/6 cams, valvesprings and shimless buckets are good to at least 8500, not sure what will do 9500.

Ron at Axis usually has CP pistons in stock.

I'm using NGK BKR7E gapped at something like .30, I don't remember.

Probably a ver. 7 or 8 properly treated and balanced would do the trick.
