Believe me, I have read the pamphlet.
Auto crossing is generally no-abusive, and does not normally cause problems, however I have watched people drag launch and forcefully downshift to first gear while going 20+ mph, during a auto-x. Does that not constitute abuse as well?

I could not possibly agree with this more....

And yet the SCCA keeps track of times and gives awards to the quickest time. Go figure.

What was the question? Something about a Kartboy shifter???

Oh and Boo!!! on service people that crap on their customers!!!

Just because everyone cares so much, I tradded in my much loved and lightly modded WRX in on the Jeep. Jeep's had some light mods and Warranty work. Jeeps got some "signs" of use (dents in skid plate, paint off bottom of diff) Took it in for a leaking axle seal....service writer looked it over and said " Nice winch!"

Will be buying the wife a new car from this dealer soon. Anything SOA could learn from this???? Nah.

With the hassles SoA gave me about my car my wife wants nothing to do with them either. She is getting a Lexus instead of a Legacy.

Hey my question is that if there was nothing wrong with the MY02 WRX gearboxes that they sold so many of, then why are the internals of a late MY02 production gearbox different..........

Different part numbers and don't interchange with the earlier ones......

Plus the huge variance in those who can or cannot shift their MY02's into first when the car is moving etc etc etc

The earlier MY98 - MY00 WRX gearboxes feel different, shift different didn't have anywhere as many issues (and you can keep all the BS arguements about abuse - you seriously beleive the WRX is any less abused o/s?)

Something was changed and quickly changed again

But hey then again I have been around a few honda/acura dealerships lately and seeing them ship 3 or 4 gearboxes a day off to Ohio......
