Default odd request for 02 WRX owners w/ BBK

ok guys kinda an odd request but here it goes anyways.....

I do alot of fun stuff w/ my car so I tend to go through brake pads pretty quickly. I have had really good experience w/ axxis ultimates but they are not in production for the 03 style brake caliper. Other pads that I like are just too expensive to use like I do. So I was looking for someone in TX that would be willing to trade calipers with me so I can purchase said pads. I figured people w/ BBK who already had calipers off it would be much easier to do so......well anyways if anyone is not using theres and will trade great just let me know

thanks for the offer but I have Bobcats on the front and ultimates on the back now and don't think I could go back to stock *shutters* but as quickly as I have killed this set of pads I really don't want to shell out another 100+ bones for the Bobcats again.

AFAIK you don't need to change the caliper, just the bracket. They can be found on:

Quit your whining. Play and pay, or drive sensible-like and get normal wear intervals. You can't have both. BYW, good pads will eat-up your rotors. If you are eating up pads, the rotors are probably toast by now. BBK kit, expect rotor replacement every second set of pads. Now we're talking serious bucks. If you like the hauls-it-down and never-fades experience, you must pay up.

no whining just looking for a more cost effective alternative thats all, I would love to get a BBK and plan on it after some "other" mods are complete, but right now I don't see enough track days to warrant a BBK, and the upgraded pads, lines, and fluid works well enough for the autox and canyon runs I frequent. And the rotors are not toasted yet, they will be after the next set of pads I am sure, but I turned them and they are still within spec.

The bracket that holds the caliper to the knuckle. That's actually what holds the pads while the caliper compresses them against the rotor.
