2.5rs = 17,483
destination = 495
floor mat = 48
subtotal = 18026

then add 2191 for taxes and fees...

total = 20217

so, if i order from carorder.com, how long will it take for them to get me my car?

Hey Jai, I think your dealer inventory price is off. I think it's $17,686.

Hey homer...no...thats the price i got from carorder.com which is actually lower than dealer invoice...

My mom gave me the go ahead for ordering the RS through carorder...only thing we need now is a good loan...going to make a 10,000 cash down and finance the other 10,000...lowest rate we found (in about 30mins) is 7.69...which gives me a monthly payment of roughly 311...over 36 months...

You have to remember one thing. When you buy a car through a dealer, they "introduce" you to the parts and service departments people. Next time you go in for service or to buy parts, they take "extra" care of you. I don't mind paying a bit extra just to make sure that my car will be in good hands when in service.

Post Ordering a new RS

I'm planning on ordering a new RS very soon. I got an invoice from carorder.com which came to a total of 20,260 (give or take $10) after the taxes and fees (with no options but grey carpets). I'm thinking of taking this invoice to see if the dealers around here (Stevens Creek and Carlson) can beat the price. If not i'll be ordering it from carorder.com.

My question is how long does it usually take Subaru to deliver a new car? and if anyone has any experience with carorder.com

Thanks,
Paul

Give a call to Jim at Marin Subaru @ 415-454-9240 and see if they can beat the price. I have bought 2 Subaru's from his and they are very good when it comes to price. Tell him Alex with Silver RS sent you.

Wink

I think either Confucious or Bruce Lee said once that "patience is virtue". Had I not been patient about buying a car, I wouldn't have ended up with my beloved subie.

Talking

Woohoo!!!

I went through the process of ordering a new RS at carorder.com...its now in the process of finding a car for me...

I ordered a MY00 2.5RS Blue Ride Pearl with no options other than the grey carpets...not that I can't afford the other options...I just don't think I need them...

The total came to 20,217.65. I'll be financing 10,000 of it at an APR of 7.69% over 36 months.

Hopefully they can find my RS soon....

I recently (1 month today) purchased my MY00 BRP RS at Carlsen Subaru. I got it for 2.5% over dealer cost...the only options on the car where:
1. CD player- will toss for a my Alpine
2. Floor mats (wanted)
3. Rear Diff. Protector (wanted)
Thats it.
They had the car ON THE LOT!!!, I found it by looking in the Subaru.com web site. I called them on Saturday to confirm they had the car and purchased it on Monday. They even got me a 7.69% loan for 60 months. All in all I am very pleased with the deal I got.....and I did not have to wait a 6-8 weeks to order it from Nippon. I got lucky I guess ;-P
