Default Quick disconnect battery

Next month I'm going to be moving into Georgetown in DC and have a few concerns about security. One of the ideas I had was getting a quick disconnect setup for the battery and taking it out every night. Also remoting it to the trunk for easy access. My question is have any of you done this and if so what are the pros and cons. Is it effective. What about a killswitch that shuts off all electrical components. I also have a sidewinder alarm and the Autolock, but you can never be too safe. THanks for the input.

I would just put realys on the power for the starter and fuel pump and wire them to your alarm. Taking the battery out every night will be a real hassle.
