Talking What do you want in carbon fiber?

I own a small performance shop in chesapeake virginia (All Aspects Motorsports) and I have a good friend who has been in the fiberglass business for years. He is interested in venturing into carbon fiber work, I have seen some of it and it is beautiful, and due to the high population of subaru junkies in our area he wants to make some parts. What i need form you guys are some ideas, what are you looking for, what do you want that you can't get/afford. He is open to all suggestions. I appreciate any feedback, this could help us all in the long run. Thanks again

I would LOVE to get a carbon fiber hood. NOTHING exists in BC builds, so I'd LOVE to know, and get an estimate on price.

Same goes for a Carbon Fiber trunk lid.

yeah i'm with scoobyimpreza. i'd like a cured 1 foot by 1 foot sheet.

Other than that perhaps universal NACA ducts to feed a brake cooler. But definately NACA ducts 3-4" type.

Oooooooo. I know! A carbon fiber scoop for the RS hood where the passenger vent is. Those would sell like hot cakes! You can use my car as a test fit too!

A CF sub box that can be secured on the left side of the trunk - doesnt come loose in spirited driving and can be pulled out for AutoX and track days!

id be down for all sorts of stuffs if i get a job this week.umm, lets see, i want a hood, trunk lid, strut brace, stiver 5 or 6 rear wing, fronat and rear bumpers, side skirts, 22b styled wide body kit, grille, hood scoop, all this for my 00 rs.

also, i would be interested in a hood wioth a scoop, trunk lid, fenders, and bumpers for my 1986 subaru rx. if you can get parts made for the old school suby, i have a feeling that i know where you can get a lot of sales.
you could use my rx as a template forthe parts perhaps in exchange for a slight discount or chance to learn how this is done.

how about door cards? rear door cards for the gc8 or universal to be used between the rears on a gc and gd.

I say rear because most people don't have 3,4, or 5 passengers every time they get in the car. But only make them if they are lighter than the plastic, vinyl, cardboard OEM parts.

Micah- yeah alot of these parts are made already but are either VERY rare, too high priced for the comman man, or just people expressing their opinion on what they would like to see. The easiest way to make a profit is to out do the other guy with the same product. So competition or repitition is needed.
