Impreza GC8 whats it take for high revs

whats it take to make an N/A motor 2.2 or 2.5 to go from like the stock redline to oh say 8000 rpm to 9000 rpm? i would like to know.

Balancing, blueprinting, better cams, bearings, lifters, valves, springs, balances. Often a stronger block and heads.

OK i am autocross fan what about like some where in the 200 whp range looking at a 2.5 with cobb spicey cams what else should i get i want to stay na

Or EJ257 if that is a different engine.

Probably read one of my old posts talking about getting an EJ257 and putting Cobb or TWE high CR pistons into it. Stay tuned race fans, this may be happening sooner than I expected...

And I will refrain from all other comments because the appropriate thread to address the ludicrous idea of 200whp has been linked...
