Cool Anybody looking for a 98 GT?

I was poking around the other day on autotrader.com, and did a search in my area for any Legacys. It came up with two that I thought were interesting (besides the '94 with a V-6!). There are two GT's showing within 50 miles of here. There's a White 98 Sedan 5 spd here in town, and an automatic Silver Wagon in Muskogee, about 30 minutes away. Both seem reasonably priced, because Subarus just aren't the hot seller in this part of the country. Does anybody want me to take a look at either one of these? It seems like somebody is always trying to find a 5 speed, and I'm particularly fond of white!

No Subaru has ever had a V engine, and the only sixes in the nineties were the XT and SVX, 2.7 and 3.3 liters.

Someone thinks their 4 is a 6. Could be a turbo, but since it has a badge on the back, one would think they'd notice that.

About the V6, I just figured the guy doesn't really know what he's got. I suppose that I should check and make sure it isn't a turbo, but I doubt it. The picture isn't good enough for me to tell for sure, but it doesn't look like it to me.

Rich

(Oops, obviously the picture is a Turbo Wagon. I must've been thinking of another pic that I had looked at while searching throught that mess! Sorry 'bout that.)

I knew I wasn't crazy.... Some guy just thinks he has a fast car and assumes a 6.. I had a 92 Legacy that car would fly and it wasnt a turbo.. I stilll think it was faster then my 2000 or 2001 GT

2k1,

I know the feeling. The 1st generation with a 5spd was a force to be reckon with. Light car, 6500 rpm redline, 4.11 gears.

Too bad not many places make suspension upgrades for them.

I tried to call the number, to see what the heck he's actually got, but it's "no longer in service". Oh well. Funny enough, that's not the first time I've seen a Legacy around here listed for sale with a "V6". I suppose it could be the same person, but it was last winter when I saw that before.
