Cool Auto-X: Sunday, June 24th

Ok kids. Time for another run through the cones! (That's "over' the cones for some of us!) Next even is this Sunday @ Northeast Lot.

For those of us there at the last run (who wasn't there!?), we saw a HUGE turnout of Scoobies a few first timers tried their luck on the course.

Let's had a blast again this Sunday...!

Unhappy And I can't be there....

I'll be out of town that day, so I won't be able to make it... Whens the next one? I really want to run my car soon to see how it handles.

Late,
Derek

Default ARG!!! Sorry, no can do...

I'll be working both Saturday and Sunday from 0800-1600... Really sucks, since I was all set to run last time, and I screwed myself because of that plastic guard I left out of place.

I should be there in a "supporting role". I'm still not auto-xing my Rex, but I'll try to bring a cooler of goodies.

I'll be there to fly the Subaru banner! (Literally now, I got a banner...)

See ya then.

Yes, it costs nothing to spectate, you simply have to sign a liability release waiver at the gate, and be issued a wristband.

Are there any plans for after the auto-x? I get out of work at 1600, so I may be able to make it for the last run groups, and any after event festivities that take place.

First car out is usually at 9:00am. I don't know the run group schedule, so if you're planning on running, I'd be there by 7:30 just in case.

If you just want to spectate, anytime between 9:00 and ~3:00 is cool.

Hi Scott, no. I brought out the Big Gun...Red Camaro...and did some slow times with alot of tire smoke. Best was a 73.058. Kenji pulled off a 70.253 with me as a passenger in his Silver Scoob. And Derek did an imprezzive 63.080 in his Blue WRX.

After the 2nd run group, I had to jet. Weather was hot. I saw maybe four Scoobies today. Tom didn't run the weiner mobile today...Mark ran his four door BRP Scoob...don't know the times though.

Skippy-- As for me, I arrived around 11am, and all the Scoobies were already done. I just got one pic of Derek and his WRX taking a turn. Pic yet to be developed.

Angry Good Stuff, Bad Stuff

Scott, I wanted to run the Camaro. I've had that car since 1991 and have never autocrossed with it before. Full Bilstein/Eibach sport suspension setup w/ strut bars and traction bars. Heavy car...plowed thru some of the tight turns. I was overdriving it. 475 lbs ft of torque can get pretty smokey coming out of the turns on BFG Comp T/A's. Straight's were a blast though.

I've had really bad luck with tickets lately in both the Camaro and the Scooby. Today, I got a parking ticket in Del Mar, which pissed me off...then some little ***** 13 year old punk yelled out, "Rice Rocket! Rice Rocket!", at me as I was leaving. Usually I ignore those remarks, but I was so angry I got a ticket, he got a mouthful of obscenities yelled back at him in front of his friends.

PEOPLE SUCK.
