Rally Stuff Pictures and videos from last Rallycross

This entire year, a new guy (paul) in a focus has DOMINATED group 2 stock, winning 1st place EVERY TIME.

This event I decided to go ALL OUT and see what damage I could do. the course was QUITE long (40 seconds vs the usual 19) and Paul hit 3 cones on his first run, I think i got one. so right there that leveled the palying field. After each runset I would cehck scores to see how hard I had to push, and near the end I was bouncing off the revlimited for well over half the course, which I rarely did before. I thoguht I had beaten him but they added up the scores and it showed he beat me by a second

Then I checked and theys crewed up the counting, and gave him the cone they didnt add to the time and I won first place (which I hadnt done at ALL this year since he pwns eveyrone) I couldnt believe I had beaten the great Paul in the red focus. BTW I got 5th out of 22 overall. for this course us 2WD guys were beating most of the AWD

here are some pics and videos. notice my server goes down every day at 12ish day and night, cant figure why the router craps out so if pics dont load wait a bit.

here you can see I am going ALL out, not caring about the car, at redline through this entire front section till the slalom

and now some vids.

This run I had my exhaust in working order

Later in the day my exhaust came loose so I sounded like a v8 from hell (my exhaust coems out at EVERY RALLYCROSS)

on the back stretch we got up to speeds of 55 MPH on the last straight which was really fast for being on dirt

hopefully the vids work for most people, they are avi's directly off my canon s200 camera so i dunno if youll need a codec or not.

That was a fun race

Was this a SCCA sanctioned event?

If so, I have some posting to do.

40 seconds is long?

Come out to DC, man... home of the 2 minute rallycross course. Last time we even openned up our "second" track, it was more like a rallysprint! Big elevation changes, tight turns around trees and shrubs, fun++
