i am also looking for more information on this thing. i dont have a subaru (mitsu eclipse) but i've had such a difficult time trying to find info on this. apperently there was a review of it in the july issue of import tuner but i have not seen that yet. apperently the hks afc is for lightly modded cars (intake, exhaust, header...) and since i wont be going turbo i basically want my car to perform better.
anyways here are my questions: are their any power gains from this (hp)? what about performance? will it help a lightly modded car run better? how so? i imagine it will burn fuel more efficiantly so is it safe to assume i'll get better gas mileage? any help would be appreciated so those of u who have s-afc's please help out. thanks!!! korona |

I've had the SAFC and was looking at the HKS AFR and IMHO the HKS is a much better piece as it has much more fine tuning adjustability but lacks the "videogame display". Gains will be slight so don't expect 10-20 hp
unless your turbo. |

yah, i couldnt imagine getting too much of a gain in power maybe 2 or 3 if any. but since my car runs pretty rich i figure it might improve general performance of the car and help it run a little more efficiant. the hks afr also has a pretty low cost compared to the s-afr and s-afc (around 120$)
to the s-afc guys: what kind of changes did you notice after you began using the s-afc? |

Ooops I thought you were talking about the SAFR I got confused.
The AFR is just a small box with a switch that changes the voltage slightly. The SAFR has so many options that it makes the SAFC look outdated. Go with the SAFR as you can get it for @$300 (same as the SAFC) from many places. Rich |

i was thinking about the s-afr but since my car is lightly modded and i dont think i will put in a turbo charger i cant really see myself paying 300 dollars for it. the afr seems a little more suited for my set up and its only around 120 dollars. i'm just trying to figure out if its worth it. i suppose if it will help with fuel efficiancy it probably might be.
