1. Rally Blue '99RS in Mountain View -- we both went into cafe Verde, but you looked busy so I didn't say hello.
2. Black '99RS in Los Altos -- nice talking to ya mate.

3. Silver WRX in Los Altos -- you rolled down the window ... got something to say?

And finally ... as I was coming out from dinner in Los Altos, guess who was checking out my car?? Computer animation fanatics will recognize the name of Allen Hastings, Emmy award winning pioneer in computer graphics and creator of Lightwave 3D. We started talking about the WRX and his wife asked me about the SIGGRAPH T-Shirt I was wearing.

It was so cool to see Allen Hastings munching on some Baskin Robbins ice cream and peering around the WRX. Apparently he's a car nut.

... and it was all worth it because I just waxed the car this morning.

I dunno ... wouldn't a Subaru be faux pas in Los Altos? Sorta like going to a club in a T-shirt and jeans.
