01-04 are all MAP

The only other RS that was MAF was 99 (maybe 98?)

call cobb and ask them. I'm pretty sure they made the new 99 intake(maf) work with SubieSport's project rs which is an 05(maf).

and 98s were maf

98-99 maf
00-04 map
05 back to maf

Talked to Cobb - Nothing they have will currently work. They are working on an intake for the 05 right now.

Here is 2 pics of the new beautifull intake and intake mainfold. I am accually going to trying this mainfold on my MY00 RS. This is pics from a Legacy. It's mainfold is 2 peice like a WRX but the short stakes at the the heads have not tumble generators. It's straight threw. The Impreza and Forrest manifolds are one peice all the way to the head. Those short stake would be a great place to bolt up some ITBs.

Doh, that integraded airbox/MAF will make it hard to have an intake for it... Your best bet might just be removing the snorkel in the fender well, otherwise its gonna be hard.

I have a 05 2.5 RS, I got my friends 03 WRX short ram and we made it fit in perfect. We only had to turn it upside down and put the sensor in upside down, make sure that the sensor is in perfect. Its a pretty easy mod, no more than 25 minís.
