Unhappy 97 Gt

I have heard of a slight leak from the sunroof controls during heavy rain in the Legacys. I noticed a little water in my light cover after a hard rain. Has anyone else had this problem? If so any info on a fix?

I did experience some slight leakage around the sunroof "gasket" in my 91 Legacy (cleaned, lubricated and cured), but so far have had no problem with the 98 GT. As far as the "light cover", you'll have to be more specific. Do you mean the headlight? I had some leakage into the headlight on one of the lights on my CRX and was never able to get rid of it, using silicone sealant, and eventually replaced it . I did, however, become rather adroit at drying it out using a hair blow dryer, pulling both bulbs and flushing warm dry air through it. The single bulb in the Legacy presents a problem there though. Didn't mean to ramble!

Make sure the drains are not clogged and the hoses are hooked up. Pretty easy to do: just open the sun roof and pour some water in the gutters. You can look for it to run out near the wheels.

Default no problems here....

I've had mine about a year, been through rain sleet and snow, and so far no leaks....

Default Dome light cover

The leak is in the domelight with the sunroof controls. I will test the gutters and clean the gasket to see if it works. It is not that bad just a drop or two with a hard rain. Thanks.

defintely sounds like drainage, or the gasket isn't seating right when it closes.
