Default axle back for a 1.8mt impreza

I'm looking for an axle back for my 1996 1.8mt impreza.
I'm looking for one thats not to loud, and not to much money.

Aftermarket or something like SPT or STI. Is the stock 2.5RS one louder?

Go to a local muffler shop and have one made. Make sure it has a resonator with it. Thats the cheapest way by far to get one.

so.... so far on your wish list you have an axel-back and TYC taillights?

you won't be gaining any power from an axelback, you know this right?

Yes, I know. Its just that I'v done most of the mods I can find to my SVX and now I have this Impreza too.
So now I have a car that I can easly find mods for so i'm going to.

So far I got clear corner lights, a front strut bar, and a OK stereo.

I think I'm only going to do small mods to this car, like make it sound better.
but If one of my friends gets a WRX motor for his legacy gt, I'm going to put his motor in my car.

I like moding cars what can I say.

i'd go ahead and get a stock WRX axelback then. it won't be much louder, but it will sound better than your 96's, and you'll be able to hear your stereo better.

I'm not sure thats a good plan. I love my WRX axleback on my 2.5 RS, but I think it might be a titch big for a 1.8L.

I'd guess you'll loose power, and it will sound resonant and drone-y.
