Default CV Joint repair cost ?

Has anyone had a front cv joint replaced on an impreza?
What was the cost (parts/labor)?
My parent's 93 impreza has a torn cv boot and makes noise
on turns, so I'm sure it needs to be replaced.
Thanks in advance!

You're looking at >200 at the dealer, less at a independant place, at least that's what I have found.

I've done it countless times on various FWD's. You can get the halfshafts for between $80-100. It's really very simple to do provided you have the right tools. I don't know for sure but if you're going to have it done somewhere, I'd guess an hour's labor on top of the price of the axle.
