Default What is the going rate for a 15k service checkup?

I'm due for a service visit at the dealer and was wondering what I should expect to pay. I just did an oil change this past weekend and brake pads so I'm good there.

Thanks!!

Trey

I think it's a little over $100. If you've already done your oil, then 90% of the 15k is done. All it is is oil, oil filter, air filter, and inspect everything.

All I need is this:

Quote:
Replace Transmisson Fluid
Replace Differential Fluid
Set tire pressure
Lube body hinges
Inspection of steering, suspension, brake linings, fuel system, axles, parking brake, air filter, windsheild wipers, lights, horn, doors & locks, belts & hoses & tire condition.
Everything else has already been done by me.

Wonder what that'll cost?

Usually a lot more than $199 I think the 30k service runs around 400-700. I'm not 100% sure because I've always done my own fluid changes. (Wow doesn't that sound bad... ) If you're only at 30k you don't need to have the fluids changed unless you're going to an aftermarket fluid.

Nope, that's our 15k (Subaru's recomendations for coastal residents). Our 30k adds coolant flush & fill, fuel filter, air filter, PCV.

Runs $329.00

At SoG that was like $500.... $700 if you got all the "premium" BG flushes and whatnot.

I wouldn't take it in at all but when you need some warranty work and they pull up your name and see you don't do regular service or oil changes, at the dealer, things tend to turn for the worst really quick.

Geez, ours is still under $500 if you add all the BG flushes and stuff!

Prestige was around $330 for the 30k. I took the OBS there for it's a couple years ago. I just did most of the 30k stuff myself on my car though. (still need to finish a couple things, ie: tranny/diff fluid and PCV).

Opie... what exactly does "battery service" consist of?

dude...SoG wanted 215 bucks for a 15k...i got an oil change and called it a day. checked my fluids on my own, and my brakes...and thats it. i was thinking about the tranny fluid..then a little birdie told me teh portAr laughs at people getting tranny fluid changes early and wasting money. so now im at 17k..no services otherwise.

what's a good price for just a coolant flush and fill? i know there's supposedly a magical mystery subaru coolant that is made of unicorns by gnomes or something like that and my car will rip a hole in the fabric of space-time if i don't have a dealer do it. plus, i don't feel like messing with all that leftover coolant.

edit: that'd be for my 30k in a little while.

It's all polypropylene glycol.

Use distilled water for best results, and a little water wetter.

Cleaning the terminals, checking the water in the battery (topping off if needed) and load testing.
