Think I found a winner.. 98 GT
Can someone tell me if the deflector on the hood is removeable, without problems? I know they are bad for the paint, and I am not too fond of the look. I might try to check out this car. Looks like a deal.. (and if anyone is in Manchester area, have you seen this one?)
$ 13,495 http://www1.getauto.com/search/car_d...BD6759W6204397 <note> - contacting the dealer soon

kinda high miles, but sure is pretty. Make sure the infamous piston slap isn't there...she's just about out of warranty.

Sure is a nice looking one!
That deflector should come off really easy. Those aren't too bad on the paint, it's the Bra that's the worst. See if they have any kind of warranty extension in case the Phase I bug bites you. |

PeteS99 - You might want to check this link out
http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...&threadid=3178 Alot better condition vs. that '98GT, plus you don't have to worry about the head gaskets |

The deflector comes off with two screws, but you'll also have some little plastic rub pads on the fenders and hood to remove, with lots of stickum left behind. The only time they damage the paint is if you let one of the bump stops fall off - then under speed the deflector bangs against the fender. My OB is doing this right now :-(

Pete -
The price is right. If you have doubts on your abilities with a standard shift you might want to consider an automatic (lots easier to find those). |

Well, I am trying my best to get some practice in.. just no access to a manual car. I might try getting a rental or something one of these days.
I have considered auto.. I want to test drive one just to see.. but I think I'd be shunned on this board if I got one! ~p |

You don't ever want to consider an automatic!

If you visit http://www.subiegal.com you will learn that her first Subaru was an automatic 1999 Legacy GT. She did manage to do some rallying in that car. To the best of my knowledge she has yet to be shunned from this board. While I insisted on getting a standard shift for my car, I have on occation, regretted this choice (especially when stuck in stop & go bumper-to-bumer traffic on Rt 128). You'll prolly pick it up pretty quick. Might cost you a clutch in the long run, but we've all been there!
