Default Where do I get the pipe to eliminate the first cat converter with the 02 in it??

I need to replace the front cat (that connects to the manifold Y pipe and the 2nd converter) with an off road pipe. I can't stand the sound it makes. Where do I get one??

You do realize that after doing this you won't be able to stand the smell it makes, right?

What's wrong with my rear cat? I am talking about the front one. Rear one is still there and happy. Front one makes a sound like an exhaust leak but it's just the dang air going around in there.

Why would the car smell any different than it does now? Nothing in the front cat so why would the smell change after I replace the gutted cat with a piece of pipe? Also, the smell that is like rotten eggs is from a cat taking a dump. Get rid of the cat, get rid of the eggs.

hahaha....i didn't understand the first post...i thought you just wanted a test pipe for the front, and recently i have cleared out my rear cat, keeping the front intact, and i am quite happy with the results...so much so i have been tempted to hollow out the first cat.

any exhaust shop should be able to custom make you a pipe with flanges, and you could have them weld on a bung.....just don't ask them to install it for you.

Default price of custom exhaust piece?

i have a 95 impreza L and i want to get rid of the second cat if you were traveling from the headers back. the piece is about a foot or so long. i either want to just gut the cat or get a custom pipe to put in it. also, what would i be looking at for new gaskets?

just gut it...get a long crow bar...or something similar, take it off..and make sure to get everything out.

i think the gaskets are a standard size, i just brought an old one to autozone and they gave me new ones.

I feel ya man, mine sounds like $h!t too. I'm gonna wait it out until I get headers and get a complete exhaust made with a high flow cat to eliminate it all together.
