Default Finding out what brakes I have

I purchased my 02 WRX last September from a dealer but was previously owned. All I know is that the brake system is not stock and I want to know what I have going on down there! What should I look for?

Stock 2-pot brakes. Someone painted them red. I forget which slotted rotor that is.

yup - pretty much stock calipers - could have aftermarket pads in them, though - and definitely have aftermarket slotted rotors. Are the brake lines rubber or coated stainless? The brake rotors could be from anyone - however, if the lines are coated stoptech lines, I would guess they did the stoptech stage 2 brake package or something like that.

Thanks for the info. I knew right off the bat when I drove the car the brakes were not completely stock. They are very very touchy and perform extremely well... and it sure was funny the first time I let my gf drive it.. I was pretty much locked into my seat belt at every stop
