I have the oppurtunity to purchase a 2.5" mid pipe and a N1 style can from someone for a good price. I have a couple of questions before I go through with this deal. The car is a 2000 RS.
Is 2.5" too big for the mid pipe? I know this question has been asked many times before but is there really that much of a difference between 2.25" and 2.5"? If I had the choice I would go with 2.25" but im getting a good deal on this cat back so im really wondering if it really matters. The mid pipe has no resonator. Will it be loud/annoying w/o one? How much would it cost to have one put in at a local muffler shop?

You'll loose a little bit of torque, nothing too dramatic. And N1 w/ no resonators will be VERY loud, wether that's obnoxious is a matter of taste (IMO, it's too buzzy - no flat-four love
