knock limit on ej18

Hello there. I have a 95' impreza with a ej18 with 89k miles and I recently installed a custom turbo kit on it. It is run with a super afc-2 that has a knock reading on it and I installed a knock sensor to the engine to detect detonation from the turbo. One problem, I don't know the knock limit on my motor so i don't know when i am detonating. I am running 8 psi and have the fuel turned up until I can adjust it to the knock. If anybody knows or knows where I can find the knock limit for my engine please let me know. Thanks!

I would imagine you set it as sensitive as possible until it starts pulling timing due to normal vibration. If you know it's not detonating, set the sensor until it pulls timing and then back off....
As far as I knew....all knock was bad. Smoother engines can have a more sensitive knock setting.
