i can see the headlines a week later -

"child crushed to death by 300lbs of legos!"

"he was just trying to get them down out of the closet, when all of a sudden..."

"it took rescuers with trained dogs 8 hours to unearth the corpse..."

You could build a Lego STi (or an Element).

Laughing on the outside, crying on the inside? *sniff*

Just kidding, I'm sorry to hear it, but from what you were saying it seemed like the best thing to do.

you could punch people rick james style, and leave lego imprints in their foreheads.

seriously though, we're kind of in a holding pattern right now. nothing bad, she just needs to figure her priorities out, and get a new job that doesn't start at 10:30.

Anybody else who mocks this guy will get my boot up their ass. Ok, not really, but everybody knows the cool kids played with Legos as kids. Besides, he says something about this being a business... Seems like a good motivation for such a huge collection. If I had $1500 sitting around, I'd be on it in a heartbeat.

legos rocked when i was a wee lad and to this day (i was looking for the 1/10 scale ferrari F1 car for my desk that supposedly exists when i came across this), but you have to draw a line somewhere...i had 2 of those big flat rubbermaid bins of legos as a kid by the time all was said and done. that was a LOT of legos. this is just bordering on madness.

This would be a great deal for a school district.
If I were an administrator I'd buy the whole lot and split it across like 10 schools.

Lego's are cool, but not that cool.

no school district i know of would even let kids near legos. besides the choking hazard that has been exploited ad nauseum, children would surely fashion pretend guns and cigarettes out of them. (insert obligatory "think of the children!" hysteria)

Everyone has hobbies... everyone loves someone who has hobbies. Who are we to judge a person by their hobbies. He probably thinks to himself.. who'd spend that much on adding something to an engine that works fine as it is. Do I need a body kit for my van? No. What a waste of money and time. Think of how many legos I could buy for the cost of a engine swap.. holy cow.
