Default Tein S-tech Vs. Tein Basic Damper

I have one question. I'm looking at the Tein Catalog and the Tein S-techs for a 2004+ WRX say it will lower the front -2.4 and the rear -1.3 while the Tein Basic Damper coilovers will lower the front -2.2 and the rear -1.5. S-tech retails for $260 while the Basic Damper retail for $990. I always thought that coilovers would go much lower than springs. So should i just get the tein s-techs if i want my car lower?

S-techs are lowering springs. Basics and SS are coilovers. Ride height on coilovers can be adjusted. The drops u see on the site are the minimal drops, meaning you will be dropped that much on the coilover no matter how high u want to raise it. (i.e. on the highest setting) But yes, u can still drop it even lower if u want to.
