Longer Alpine Ai-Net cables?
I just got the iPod adapter, KCA-420i, to hook up to my CDA-9833.
I would like longer cables.
There are 2 cables:
From Deck to KCA-420i adapter (standard Ai-Net?)
From KCA-420i adapter to iPod connector
(sorry, no picts)
Both are about 6.5 feet long.
Ideally, I need about another 2-2.5' to reach the adapter, which I was going to mount under the driver's seat, where I already have a 2 channel amp and 12v power and ground distribution.
It seems that the previous name/technology for Ai-Net was M-bus. It appears, from info on the web, that Ai-Net is not compatible and uses different cabling from the older M-bus.
I could not locate any part numbers on the Alpine website, or anywhere else. Alpine's Cust. Service # just put me on hold until I hung up after 10+ minutes.
Any ideas or model numbers for longer cables or cable extentions?
Maybe I'll try to to jam it in someplace behind the dash.
