Question Tranny swap question? 95 leg

Hello all> I would like to know wether it is possible to swap a 95 legacy tranny with a 2k2 legacy tranny. I happen to have one lying around and my original has seen better days. How different would the electrical connections be if it is compatible with the the 95 tcu? Any input will be appreciated.

I'm assuming it's an AT correct?

It's not going to work too easily because the 95 is a phase I 4EAT, while the 2k2 is at least a phase II 4EAT. They have different electrical connectors.

I suppose if you really wanted to use it, you could probably splice the harness from the old tranny to the new one....but that'd be a bit of work...and I have no guarantees the 95 TCU will be able to fully control it.

like he said, is it manual or auto? I know exactly what to do if it's manual, as I've already done that swap. lemme know.
