It's not smooth one over, it's rub one out. Yeah, probably.... why the heck not? Traffic was awesome, I'm real glad we came back tonight.

if i had known this was a group trip ron i would have come with... i was bored to tears today.

Oh and since you are the master of finding obscure electronics.. do you know of a range finder that can be hooked up to a computer for data collection? i'm thinking about buying some scrap fiberglass from a whole sale place and making a under body plate and i wanna see if it'll reduce high speed lift. Oh and does anyone know any equations for naca duct/inlets? Yes it's 6am and i'm still awake thats where all these ideas are spawning from.

you can go to Lowes. they have kits there with either chop strand mat or woven mat. I think they both come in 3x3 ft sections. they other way is to buy it by the linear yard from a local boat shop or online
www.fiberglast.com
www.uscomposites
www.raka.com

those are the sources I use. the fiberglass will keep you costs down. just PLEASE use ventilation when working with that stuff!!

Also remember to line the exhaust area of the tray with some of Rons JDM heat shielding/wrap. If you need any help, let me know. I also have some spare carbon here and a single layer of aramid might make the finished piece last longer.

Well i found a ton of scrap stuff off of ebay and i'm now just debating whether i should go through with the purchase. (buy it now dealy) but thanks for the links. I'm just wondering if smoothing out the bottom of a GC would really negate some of the lift properties it has. Worth a shot i think either way i'll end up with some nifty parts and some experience. I'm not aiming to make anything look pretty just functional. If i do go through with this i might make that intake system micah and i talked about long ago.

No clue buddy. For NACA ducts, you need a preformed piece as it's not only the external, but an internal shape and that's something you can't ghetto rig.
