Default If exposed CF, and a big exhaust make you a ricer.....

Then call me "fried rice".

I finally got my CF hoodscoop in the other day, and installed it. It was a very simple install, although I had to bust out the file to make some fine adjustments. Overall I'm happy with the look, it's subtle to oncoming traffic, but garners the attention that my battlewagon deserves.

mmmmmm, CF goodness.

The car will be painted again in the spring, and I may paint the CF, but probably something similar to what JikJak did with his. It's pointless to buy CF goodness, and not show it off.

And finally, the piece de resistance!
3" Turboback, to one hell of a loud Apexi N1 muffler.

Overall the TBE install was a joke. If not for the prolific use of heat shields, it's an hour job.

Then there was the uppipe.....
I spent hours getting the stocker out, only to find the one I bought was about a centimeter too long for my setup. I had a few choice words late saturday night when I finally gave up trying to make it all fit.

I'm in the process now of buying a flex pipe, and TIG'ing it onto the U/P. That should give me some flexibility, and allow me to take a cm out of the pipe itself.

Other than the U/P, I'm really happy with the TBE. The sound is mean. I mean, the car scares my kids when I rev it up, and makes commuter cars cower in fear of teh BoXaR! MoToR yo~! With the suspension now complete, and the newfound power, I'm once again in love with my wagon. The power carries all the way through to redline, and did I mention the sound?

that's pretty much it, other than having a CEL now.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the O2 sensor sitting on my shelf. The D/P didn't have a bung, but once I have the TIG out, I'll just add one, along with the O2 cel fix that everyone and their dog is selling now.

thanks for reading, and feel free to post your thoughts.

How about that blue TS wagon with Morettes and a CF hood. Last I hear the poser also had a WRX muffler.

Oh wait, that's me.

For lunch I had wonton soup, and steamed rice.

Penphoe, she doesn't like the new sound, but loves the new suspension. I reminded her that when her opinion on my car begins to count, that she'll be notified.

I'm looking for a quiet 3" muffler for the future.
I'm thinking I'll just rebuild the axleback with the new, quiet muffler, then run the Apexi for track days.

3" is the way to go though. The car absolutely loves it. I did give up some low end grunt, but the additional 300rpm that the turbo spools eariler, along with the additional top end power makes the mod well worth it.

I bought a rice cooker on the weekend.

My car is named Jasmine but I'm working my way through a bag of Kohuko Rose.

02 scoobs have terrible paint!
I scratched the front bumper again, brushing against it lightly with my jack (yeah, it was a dumb move )

I have a friend who paints and he'll be doing it for about $1500, depending on what I want done. I'm thinking either stock silver (from a different manufacturer), or maybe a dark grey, I haven't quite decided yet.

feiron, check your thread. I have some updates there.

Allwheeldrift, you can buy a lot of $1 steamed rice for the price of a cooker. And I don't even have to clean it afterwords!

So the CF hoodscoop must be hard to damage
