Can the STi exhaust mount on an R.S

I own an 2001 R.S. and i have at my despoisal a 2004 exhaust system. can the exhaust mount on to mine from cat-back or just the pipe. thankyou for helping me with my deliema.

The flanges don't mate correctly (IIRC, the 04 flange is rotated 90deg or so from the 01RS flange), so it won't BOLT on, but that doens't mean it won't fit. Also, the exhaust piping is larger on the 04 STi.

Take it to an exhaust shop and they will lift up your car and see if they can do any weld/bending to fit it...and they usually can

hanger locations are different. that is easy to fix. they will have to reduce the size from like 2.25 to whatever the n/a exhaust is. i have exhaust on my 95 legacy from a 92 turbo. I plan to run aftermarket wrx exhaust.

If you do cat-back, you'll need to remove the resonator from the midpipe to make it fit your heat-shields.

u can use it if u fit a custom midpipe onto the axleback
