Unless you're in the Navy and have a job I'd pass on Norfolk.
They are though very horny down that way.
Run a search on any find-a-fookfriend site and punch in Norfolk or 'Hampton Roads'.
Nothing but swingers, MILF's, freaks and folks dying to get laid.
There's nothing much else to do down that way and its way far from anything else.

Philly is nice.

- Janq would choose Philly, Atlanta or the metro area (DC/MD/VA) assuming affordability is not a concern

Nope.

I like Philly.
It's like a big Baltimore.

Every place has its crime and ghetto zones.
But as places to live and play on the east coast go (relative to his other choices) Philly ain't too bad a stay in my mind.

Guess which one I voted on.

And tbert: Remember that Janq is/was in the DC area. Anything but Compton is nice in comparison.

Don't move to Norfolk. You will see what your buddies wives do when the ships sail for those 6 month deployments...

<---lived in Norfolk for a short spell. Avoided "new women" at the bars on the nights following a 6 month deployment.....

I'm still in the zone (cancelled the move) and DC is no Compton.

Yeah Norfolk is like that, in a big way.
At best drift in then drift out but don't stay.

I was deployed out in Norfolk for three months and was absolutely appalled at how Navy wives conducted themselves. Stay away from that place, bad ju-ju. You can always come back to 'Sconsin. And if you want to continue serving I can get you a phone number...

Philly is meh.

I like the city, not the inhabitants (generally speaking). You need a certain mentality to fit in in Philly.
