Default SOA just gave me a Lego Demo Car!

...for work. I help manage the vehicle fleet for a certain credit card bank here in Delaware so SOA solicited us to buy their cars. Soooo, yesterday I went to a Fleet Industry Ride and Drive Expo, several new models were there. I drove a Ford 500 AWD with CVT trans ( constant variable like a snowmobile). Anyways, they had already arranged to have a demo car for me to take for like 3 WEEKS. So we get to "test drive" this new Legacy for a few weeks.....are there any local rallys coming up?

On a seperate note the new seven passenger SUV, which the rep. was calling the OXX for now, is due out next june, then Saab will sell their version six months later. He said it looks like a cross between a Nissan Milano(spl?) and a BMW X3

How did the 500 drive with that tranny? its a volvo AWD system. I just did the new model training for the new freestyle/500/montego (all the same drivetrain) I havent driven one yet though.

I own a nissan Murano (Morono) with the most powerful CVT ever sold in a car. I can tell you that the one in the mo does a stellar job. accelerates as fast as the american V8s.

It did suprisingly well. The rep was claiming 10% more power, not sure if he meant 0-60 time or what, and 10% better fuel mileage. It reminded me of a snowmobile trans, and I guess it is fundementally similiar.I climbed some real step hills and it was as resposive as most automatics, no problems with lagging on take off. At different speeds I would let off throttle and then back on quick and it didn't do anything funny, as I thought it might. It was fairly responsive at any speed (I only got it up to 60 or so...backroads). I think the fact that they offer AWD in these models shows that they're catching on to what Subaru has known all along
