Default VIN numbers

Can someone point me to a source on the web where I can find out what each of the numbers in the VIN means. For example, which letter means it a 4WD manual 2.2 liter turbo, etc.

Thanks
Mike

Exclamation A way-way-back search may find it...

Wow. this had been discussed at length here some time back... I think that a search in 'General' will turn it up.

Good luck.

I'm in the process of creating a web page with the full decodes; if you email me a fax number, I'll send the pages your way. [email protected]
